Gallery d’Arte, 548 West 28th Street, Suite 328, New York City is pleased to present a solo exhibition The Sound of Movement: Jeesun Mo. Curated by Paris Koh Fine Arts. This show will run from March 16th -30th, 2017 with an opening reception on Thursday, March 16th from 6 to 8 pm.
Jeesun Mo explores the tangled possibilities of color and structure in the sphere of abstract painting. Mo also represents the rhythmical movement and sound of the airflow in her painting. She sketches the human body roughly and transfers it to a video clip to capture the body’s energetic motion. Her configurations are an uneven geometric frame of some objects and her paintings refer to the arts such as music, dance, and performance which is so striking and can be connected to remind improvisational recital.
Jeesun Mo received her BA from Sookmyung University. She currently lives in Korea and continues her artistic journey by creating art works and teaching Fine Arts in various institutes.
