Kyung Tae Kim Solo Exhibition "What You Want"
For Immediate Release:
Paris Koh Fine Arts (201 Bridge Plaza North, Suite 1, Fort Lee, NJ) proud to present a Solo Exhibition “Kyung Tae Kim: What you want”. This show runs from February 6th to March 4th, with an opening reception on Thursday Feb. 9th from 6-8 pm.
New York based artist Kyung Tae Kim’s recent paintings express the innermost desires of many people living today and the artist's thoughts and questions about the hidden side of those desires in visual language. In general, the subject of desire is a specific thing or an object, but there are also experiences in which only the eagerness and the greed are left behind without knowing the matter that you really desire. The images of boxes in Kim’s work express how unclear that the desire could be. It shows how clearly desire exists without having a specific form or shape. Expression of the shadows are the depiction of dreaming, craving through the desires that we have in our mind.
Born in Korea and raised in an artistic environment from an early age by artist parents, Kyung Tae Kim earned his B.F.A at the Kookmin University in Seoul, Korea. And he came to New York for his M.F.A. at the School of Visual Art and Rochester Institute of Technology, NY. He also went Sheffield Hallem University, UK as an exchange student. As a young artist his work had been shown galleries and art fairs in New York, New Jersey, Miami and Korea. This is his 2nd solo exhibition in US.
